Cookie Policy

What cookies LiminalTripLand uses and why

Cookies are small files stored in your browser that help websites remember things. This page explains exactly which cookies LiminalTripLand uses, what they do, and how long they last.

We use as few cookies as possible. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics. The cookies we set are either essential for the platform to work, or small preference files that make your experience more comfortable.

Cookies we use

Session cookieEssential

Keeps you logged in while you browse. Without this cookie the platform cannot remember who you are between page loads.

Duration: Deleted when you close your browser or your session expires (30 days of inactivity)

CSRF tokenEssential

Protects forms from cross-site request forgery attacks. A standard security measure.

Duration: Session

Sidebar preferencePreference

Remembers whether you have the sidebar collapsed or expanded.

Duration: Local storage (not a cookie, stays until you clear browser storage)

Third-party cookies

Some pages embed YouTube videos. If you play a video, YouTube may set its own cookies governed by Google's privacy policy. These only apply when you interact with an embedded video.

If you log in via Discord, Discord's OAuth flow may set cookies on their domain. We do not control those cookies.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other advertising or behavioural tracking service.

Managing cookies

You can delete cookies or block them via your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in. Blocking preference cookies means your UI settings will not be remembered between sessions. Most browsers have a clear cookies option in their settings menu.
